Black Bull (Championship)

The Championship course at the Black Bull Golf Resort lies four miles from Ma-Me-O Beach on Pigeon Lake. Don’t expect to play holiday golf from the back tees here as the layout measures 7,342 yards with a slope rating of 142. Playing to a par of 73, with five par five holes on the scorecard, the tree-lined Championship course is laid out as two returning nines. Water hazards come into play at several holes, most notably between the 4th and 6th and on the back nine at three of the closing five holes.

Highlight holes include the 442-yard 4th (stroke index 1) which doglegs to the right with a couple of small ponds lurking close to a sand-protected green that slopes markedly from back to front. On the back nine, back-to-back par fives feature at the 15th and 16th and these holes are immediately followed by the shortest par three on the card at the 164-yard 17th.

This 27-hole facility also offers a 9-hole Executive course with a mix of par threes and short par fours which are ideal for a fun round of golf as a family or as a practice ground for sharpening up your short game.
